Workshops

I run a variety of workshops, including Brush Calligraphy, Chalk Lettering and specialised seasonal workshops. There are classes suitable for beginners and classes for those who may have lettered before. I have the privilege of hosting at some gorgeous venues in Northumberland. I also offer private classes, virtual classes and I can travel to you! If you need any more information, please use the contact page. An Introduction to Modern Calligraphy

at Linnels Farm, Hexham

An autumnal themed workshop introducing you to modern calligraphy using a nib and ink. Covering the basic strokes and letter forms, I will show you how to use the tools correctly to create beautiful lettering. This workshop is designed for beginners and there is no experience necessary. All materials for the class are provided, including a personalised mini pumpkin, and you will be able to take away the tools needed to carry on your calligraphy journey at home. Refreshments are provided by the lovely Karen at Linnels Farm.

Christmas Calligraphy

at Koru, Gosforth 

Join me for a festive, fun filled workshop where you’ll learn the basic calligraphy skills of create your own Christmas cards, tags and decorations. You will have the chance to try out different pens and tools while making your own festive stationery and baubles to take home. This workshop is designed for beginners and there is no experience necessary. All materials for the class are provided and there will be refreshments available to purchase from Koru. (If you’d like to stay for pizza after the class, I recommend booking a table as Saturday lunchtime gets busy!)
